New Television Spot

"The John Torraco for State Attorney Campaign has released its first television spot. The 30-second spot, titled “Accountability”, focuses on John’s background and experience, outlining his positions working for a US President, two Federal Judges and the US Department of Justice. The ad also points out the need for change due to the low conviction rate in the 12th Judicial Circuit (Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto Counties)."

Meet John

John is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. He was selected to one of the most renowned law school clinics – Georgetown Criminal Justice Clinic.

Legal Experience

John worked in the White House Counsel’s Office, responding to campaign finance issues and Office of Independent Counsel investigations, and at the United State Department of Justice, while attending law school in the evening.

Why I am running

The State Attorney’s Office for the Twelfth judicial circuit, has one of the lowest trial conviction rates in Florida. The conviction rate has been steadily dropping for the last seven years. We can do better.
